City Council & Mayor

The City Council consists of the mayor, city clerk, and five council members. The mayor and two of the council members are voted into office from everyone in the community. Three of the council members are voted into office by wards. The Mayor is a two year term. The Council is a four year term.

City Council meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Cresco City Hall, 130 North Park Place, Cresco Iowa.

Born in Fort Dodge and raised in Cresco through the end of third grade before moving to Fort Dodge then Indianola. Growing up with two brothers, Cresco always felt like home. I came back to Cresco in 2008 for work. In my free time, I enjoy building street rods and snowmobiling.

I have an active member of the Driftrunners Snowmobile Club, the Cruise to Cresco Board, served on the Cresco Theatre Commission. I served on the City Council for five years prior to accepting the appointment as Mayor.

My goal for Cresco is to continue to see it grow and thrive. Cresco has a long list of projects on our CIP (Capital Improvement Plan), I want to see these projects completed while continuing to maintain fiscal responsibility to this towns tax payers.
