MINUTES

Cresco Theatre Commission

The Cresco Theatre Commission met Monday, August 10th, 2026, at 5:30 PM in Champlin Hall.  Members present were Kelly Ferrie, Ann Seebach, Alyssa Burke, Kari Waterbeck, Steve Lickteig, Becky Creger, and Rachel Riley. Guests:  Joe Wacha, Cresco Community Theatre and Stan Fosaaen, City Council. Wendy Lickteig, Cresco Theatre Manager, Was unable to attend.

The August agenda and July minutes were reviewed.   The motion to approve was made by Ann Seebach, seconded by Becky Creger, and unanimously approved by the Commission. Claims and financials were not reviewed due to Cresco Theatre Manager being absent.

Staff Reports:   No Report due to Cresco Theatre Manager being absent.

Old Business:

  1. Friends of Theatre- no report.
  2. Scene Shop Progress-no report.
  3. Harvest Fest Plans- Concessions, old movies, tours, restrooms, cool place to rest.
  4. Smash Bash Planning- August 29th, 2026- Dunk tank, games, outdoor movie- Wendy, All food supplies being graciously donated by Jim & Barb Holstrom. Joe will be getting napkins. Ann needs 10 people to help with set up at 4PM & tear down after. 5-6 people to assist with burger supplies during event.

New Business:

  1. Access & Key Policy- Key to be signed out for specified period of time, as determined by key user. The motion to approve was made by Ann Seebach, seconded by Becky Creger, and unanimously approved by the Commission.
  2. Fundraising- Items will be addressed monthly- donors, events, fundraisers. Upcoming events- Smash Bash, Ricks Show & Christmas Show.
  3. The next meeting will be September 14th, 2026 @ 5:30 PM. The motion to approve was made by Kari Waterbeck, seconded by Ann Seebach, and unanimously approved by the Commission.

Motion to adjourn was made by Ann Seebach, seconded by Kari Waterbeck and unanimously approved by the Commission.
