GOVERNMENTAL BODY: THE CITY COUNCIL OF CRESCO, IOWA
DATE OF MEETING: FEBRUARY 23, 2026
TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING: 4:30 P.M. CITY HALL, 130 N PARK PLACE
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE ABOVE MENTIONED
GOVERNMENTAL BODY WILL MEET AT THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE SET OUT ABOVE. THE TENTATIVE AGENDA FOR SAID MEETING IS AS FOLLOWS:

BUSINESS: There may be action taken on each of the items listed below.
- Discuss Budget for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2027
- Approval of Pay Request #9 for $90,618.06 to Dave’s Complete Construction for the Scene Shop Project

THIS NOTICE IS GIVEN AT THE DIRECTION OF THE MAYOR PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 21, CODE OF IOWA AND THE LOCAL RULES OF SAID GOVERNMENTAL BODY. POSTED FEBRUARY 20, 2026.
Mayor Fortune called the Cresco City Council meeting to order on February 23, 2026 at 4:34 pm. Council Members Carman, Wolfe, McConnell, and Kriener were present. Council Member Fosaaen was absent.
The revised proposed budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2027 was reviewed. After moving several projects to future years, utilizing other revenue sources, and reducing expenditures, a few more minor changes were made. Each department will be provided a copy of the budget to review and to see if there are any additional ways to bring in revenue or reduce expenses. An updated budget will be prepared for Council to review
Kriener made a motion to approve the Pay Request #9 for $90,618.06 to Dave’s Complete Construction for the Scene Shop Project. McConnell seconded and it passed all ayes.
Carman moved to adjourn the Council Meeting at 5:58 pm. Wolfe seconded, and it passed all ayes. The next regular Cresco City Council meeting will be March 2, 2025, at 5:30 pm at Cresco City Hall.
