Herold made the motion to appoint Matt Johnson and Myers seconded the motion and it passed all ayes. Myers made the motion to reappoint Chelsey Hovden to the Park Board. Kerian reported on the Fitness Center: Memberships: General memberships are at 855 and 24/7 access is at 189. Lost Donaldson PBA’s due to their new HR policy. Working with those individuals involved to secure membership.

Employees: Myers made the motion to hire Jill Fredrickson as Front Desk worker. Herold seconded the motion and it passed all ayes.

Kerian discussed recent completed CFC projects: new fire alarm system and new carpet in lobby and hallway. Future projects will include resurfacing the pool house deck and replacing the pool grates. Project set to take place this fall.

Kerian reported on Parks: Mealsite Contract with Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging was discussed along with information Kerian gathered from them. It was recommended that the current contract be terminated with 90 day written notice and a new contract be developed that includes a $500 annual fee for the Kessel Lodge use, rather than the previous monthly rate. Kerian will draw up new contract.

Kessel Lodge Water Softener: Hovden made the motion to purchase a new water softener for the Kessel Lodge and Herold seconded the motion and it passed all ayes.

Pickleball/Tennis Court Lights & Shed: Kerian presented a lighting quote from Bob’s Electric to further improve the lights for $8,057. Kerian will discuss with the pickleball group about donations towards this project. Discussion was had on allowing the pickleball group to place a permanent shed at Evans Park for their equipment. It was decided to not allow the group to place a shed at Evans Park. Kerian will also be receiving crack-filling material to patch the cracks at the courts to see it that eliminates the issue.

Evans Park Update: Kerian presented initial drawings and renderings of the future all-inclusive playground project. Included in the project will be new playground equipment, new play surface, and sidewalks. Project will start in Spring of 2026.

Respectfully Submitted,

Brandon Kerian
