Update on pile of black dirt/top soil still to be removed & returned back to field to be farmable again… Rich reported that the city and David Brenno are working on it. & a possibility that some of that area could be turned into a truck parking area that the city says it needs. 5. Discussion for lean-to addition for tractor/mower storage… Clair brought the only 2 contractor estimates and bids that he received…lt was deemed necessary that more clarification of the structure with materials & construction details were needed by both including a time period of when the actual work would be done. Clair will get that information from the contractors for the next meeting. 6. Discussion on additional hanger space need…. Clair made mention of pilots inquiring if we have space available to house and base their aircraft. It has been a need for many years at our airport & also surrounding airports. We have tried in the past to invest in that part of airport infrastructure but haven’t yet got it accomplished. At the other airports where airport owned hanger space was not available they leased a plot of ground where the person wanting hanger space could built his own. After some discussion it was agreed that would be an acceptable solution here. Clair mentioned that a fellow was already working on plans to build a 30×40 hanger here if given a lease to do so. It would be in a designated location in our A.L.P. After discussion of that matter Clair would contact that person so he could bring the detailed plan of the desired construction to our next meeting. 7. Interview interested persons to fill commission vacancy… There was one person who filled out the application but his address was outside the city limits- Rich mentioned that the city adjusted their policy to accommodate the Fire Dept. He would see if that could be changed also for the airport commission. A motion was made to accept his application…lst Bryan, 2nd Ross… all approved. 8.
