Cresco Public Library Board Minutes
November 10, 2025
President Joe Kaletka called the Cresco Public Library Board meeting to order on November 10, 2025, at 5:30 PM in the CPL Program Room. Board Members Karn Friedges, Joe Kaletka, Janann Meyer, Susan Keith, and Bryan Sheehy were present. Board member Tamra Foster was absent.
Guests in attendance were Jordyn Moore (Library Director), Lisa Blankenship (Assistant Director) and Jan Carman (City Council).
Keith made the motion to approve the agenda, approve the claims, and approve the minutes from the October 13, 2025, Cresco Public Library Board meeting. Meyer seconded and approval of recurring items passed with all ayes.
Meyer made the motion to approve Purchasing Policy. Keith seconded and motion passed with ayes from Friedges, Kaletka, Keith, and Meyer. Sheehy abstained.
There was discussion about purchasing a StoryWalk Laminator. Tabled until a later date.
Friedges made the motion to approve hiring Jessica Hyberger as the full-time Youth Services Librarian starting 11/22/2025 at $15 per hour. Sheehy seconded and motion passed with all ayes.
Meyer made the motion to approve Access Systems Copier WiFi-Kit. Keith seconded and motion passed with all ayes.
There was discussion about the FY2627 budget.
Friedges made the motion to approve Bryan Sheehy as Library Board of Trustees Vice President until 6/30/2026. Meyer seconded and motion passed with all ayes.
There was discussion about waterproofing the library.
There was discussion about replacing an air conditioner.
There was discussion about Library Board of Trustees Handbook.
Keith moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:36 PM. Meyer seconded and the motion passed with all ayes. The next regular Cresco Public Library Board meeting will be Monday, December 8, 2025 at 5:30 PM in the CPL Program Room.
